Welcome
I am a tattoo artist based in Jersey, C.I. Thank you for your interest in my work.
Fundamentally I believe in the radical power of art.
I believe that expression is a core facet of being human, and nothing better encapsulates this for me than tattoos. From deep sentimental memories, to just having fun; style or rebellion, it is an honour to play a part every day in helping people become more themselves.
This exploration of the self, and the tattoo process itself, can be a vulnerable experience, which is why a fierce acceptance and celebration of every body is crucial to my work. My chair is a safe space for all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations and genders, mental and physical abilities, religions, classes, and shapes and sizes; and I will not tolerate hateful language. My inks are also suitable for vegans, and I use as little single use plastic as possible- with the aim of becoming plastic free everywhere possible within the confines of safe hygiene practises (which unfortunately necessitate some single use plastics).
What are you seeking?
I have a deep appreciation for the natural world, which serves as the primary inspiration in my work.
I am very interested in the way the world once approached the arts and sciences- as overlapping, communicatory, and complimentary to one another-
as opposed to the modern Western approach which categorises and separates everything. As such, my favourite motifs to explore are a combination of botanical, anatomical, scientific and vintage medical diagrams, and alchemical imagery, which brought me to the heavily surrealist approach I now have. I also enjoy recreating classical art pieces, and was fortunate to have one of my tattoos featured in the Albrecht Dürer Museum Nuremberg from April-October 2024 in their ‘Dürer: Under Your Skin’ exhibition. More details on this can be found on my Features page.
Stylistically, I prefer to work in black ink, in a fineline etching style, but can adapt various shading styles and colour to pieces, depending on your ideas.

Come say hi
My artistic background
I began my apprenticeship in October 2020 in Jersey, C.I. after completing my Level 3 Diploma in Art and Design at Highlands College. Towards my Diploma I explored surrealism through the Dadaist Movement and the collages of Hannah Hock; and environmental activism- centred installation pieces. Working outside of standard canvases translated beautifully to working on skin, and familiarised me with working in a three dimensional space. These projects also gave me tools to explore narrative in art, which I use now to create flash entrenched with meaning and symbolism. Tattoos by no means must have a meaning, but I find research and intention in my design process create a more cohesive final piece for you.
My apprenticeship consisted of nearly one year of shadowing my mentor before I touched a machine, to familiarise me with safe hygiene practises, and the vast theory of tattoo application. This was by far the end of my learning process, and I make an effort to continue to learn and improve my tattoo skills every day, by seeking healed photos, connecting where I can with more experienced artists, and engaging critically with the most up to date tattoo information.

Accessibility
.
Your comfort is paramount during your session, and I offer a range of accessibility options to ensure this.
My chair is a non-judgemental space, and I am grateful for your trust in homing my art. You never need to apologise for hair, scars, acne, or any other feature of your body.
I am happy to offer silent sessions (where we don’t talk during the tattoo other than where necessary), just mention it in your message when you book, at the start of the session, or mark the option on the consent form. You are free to change your mind on this at any time.
My consent forms do ask your pronouns. You are under no obligation to disclose these if it would make you uncomfortable for any reason, I only ask so that I may refer to you as you are most comfortable.
At my resident studio, 42 Tattoo Studio in Jersey, I have a screen which can be put around my station for extra privacy. If you would like this put up for any reason, even if your tattoo is not in a typically thought of as revealing place, please just let me know.
You are welcome to bring comfort items, and snacks and water are encouraged. My bed is currently a flat massage bed, with one end which can be raised, which means most sessions are carried out lying or reclined, but accommodations can be made if that is not possible due to injury or mobility. And of course, I am empathetic to the pain of being tattooed, you absolutely have the right to ask for a break at any time during your session.
If there are other measures which would help make you feel at ease during your appointment, please get in touch and I will do everything I can to accommodate.
